guy a and guy b were in bondage for a long time.

during this period, they have endured a lot of suffering and hardship.. somehow, they managed to escape from their captors.. guy a was very happy that he regained his freedom.

he put everything behind him, work hard and succeeded in building up a career.. 10 years later, he met guy b. he asked guy b what he has been doing for the past 10 years.. guy b replied :" i can't forget how we suffered while in bondage.

While I do understand the need to forgo "revenge" in order to attain inner peace, I do have strong admiration, appreciation and a sense of indebtedness to the activists who wore their chains of former bondage openly and clanged them loudly enough for me to wake up.

A seven year old. At the time, it was so "heart warming". Now that I'm awake, my blood runs cold at the implications of a minor being locked into this sickening, life-long contract.

Saying you don't believe the GB is God's ~~colon~~ canal is the ultimate, cardinal sin. No matter how much you protest that you love Jehovah, believe in the Ransom and cherish the scriptures... the second you speak against these Guyanese leaders, you're an "agent of Satan".

this makes possible for the life to be perceived in many different ways.

@zeb While at first it does seem like a giant goof for Jackson to have said that, I feel like there may be something a little bit clever about his wording since he never actually answered the question... He just said the idea was presumptuous. Did anyone else pick up on that? Or am I giving this Muppet too much credit.

An honest question for those who were "born-in"

just wanted to ask a question of those who were born in as i was.. how did you feel to have been "privileged to have been born into the only true faith - the truth"?.

did this make you feel confident, or proud - or perhaps arrogant?.

how did you reconcile the fact that 99% of the earth's population was not born "into the truth"?.

When I was maybe eight years old, I suddenly said to my mother, "mummy, thank you so, so much for making me a Jehovah's Witness." She was so happy that she got my father in the room so I could repeat what I'd said.

I did it. I'd found the holy grail to making my parents smile. Within a couple of years, I was baptized and a pioneer.

This year, I sent her and my father a long email in anger - furious that they had raised me in a cult and angry that they wouldn't hear me out or have any accountability in the matter.

My, what a couple of decades can do to a ~~puppet~~ child.

If You Question The Governing Body, You're Like Korah

anyone who questions the governing bodys authority is labelled as an apostate and almost always they bring up the story of korah and his revolt against moses.. watchtower august 1st, 2002, the article loyally submit to godly authority paragraphs 8-15.. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2002563.

in not so subtle hint, the gb likens themselves to moses, and those who disagree with the gb are korah.. paragraph 15 is actually quite damaging to the gb's argument though:.

it was so unnecessary for all those people to lose their lives.
